A special announcement was made by the Institute at CONSTRUCT 2016 in Austin here they introduced the new CSI Website – www.csiresources.org.
First, log-in and update your profile. There are easy ways to tap into your LinkedIn account to update your information. The new site and the profile information will help tie you into “Communities” within CSI where you can stay informed and have dialogue with areas of your interest.
CERTIFICATION – This section is about the CSI Certification Program. Details about each of the certifications (CDT, CCS, CCCA, and CCPR) and resources for preparing for the exams. How to register, costs and times of the exams. If you have not become certified, consider it. The are many advantages to certification for you, your employer, and clients.
COMMUNITY – This section is about connecting to others in CSI. Here you can find a network of people with common agenda, cause or interest, where you can collaborate by sharing ideas, information, and other resources. This section also includes links to CSI regions and chapters, member directory, and career center.
EDUCATION – This section offers continuing education opportunities including educational programs offered at CONSTRUCT, on-demand and scheduled webinars. Once you get linked into a “Community” you will also receive invitations to CSI sponsored webinars.
PRACTICE – This section includes information about CSI produced publications (MasterFormat, OmniClass, Uniformat, and more), a link to read “The Construction Specifier” on-line, and a link to your Practice Communities.
INSTITUTE – This section is all about what CSI is all about – history, governance, honors and awards, foundation and staff.
JOIN US – Do you know someone who could benefit from joining CSI? Direct them to this link. There you will find information on benefits of CSI, membership fees and registration. Print out a copy of the “CSI Resources Brochure” and share it in your office with others.
There is a lot to get through on the CSI website, but that is what our organization has to offer – certification, education, networking, publications and more.
